He will receive €2.5 million for research on the application of receptor recruitment in novel self-assembling materials for biosensors and nanolithography, for example.New CHDR location: a boost to human drug research in TwenteThe Centre for Human Drug Research (CHDR) is about to open a new location in Twente. At this location, the Leiden-based drug research institute will work closely with the regional hospital Medisch Spectrum Twente (MST) and University of Twente’s Technical Medical Centre (TechMed Centre). The three parties signed a cooperation agreement yesterday. Although treatments to alleviate these symptoms do exist, their effectiveness varies from person to person. In 2020, the PARTNR project for personalised cancer treatment and care was launched; by combining medical data with data on day-to-day living it aims to provide a deeper understanding of fatigue. In this context, Kim Wijlens (EEMCS/TechMed Center) has developed a holistic questionnaire to help facilitate a more personalised approach.
