Hell

Lucifer created Hell accidently after gifting mankind with free will. He is the King of Hell on the basis that he is the most powerful being in Hell due to his angelic power. However, he doesn't take an active role in ruling his domain due to his depression and how he feels about the Sinners.

Sinners

Lucifer granted free will to humanity, however, because Heaven banished him to Hell so he only witnesses the cruel and the wicked of humankind, he became disgusted with how Sinners used his gift. He saw them as beings who will destroy anything nice for the sake of enjoyment. This resulted in him allowing the Extermination under the condition only Sinners can be killed.

Hellborn

While Lucifer despises Sinners, this doesn't seem to extend to the Hell-born demons as the only reason they are in Hell is because they are native there. As such, he had gotten a pardon so that during the Extermination the Exorcists spared them and his daughter, Charlie.

Family

Charlie Morningstar

Charlie is Lucifer's daughter. In the pilot, it is implied that Lucifer does not believe in his daughter's plan to rehabilitate sinners. When Charlie calls Lilith to talk about her failed interview, she says "I think Dad was right about me". Nonetheless, Charlie did take his words of dealing with demons to heart, such as Alastor.

In "Dad Beat Dad", Charlie reveals her parents separated, and she hardly sees her father anymore. She only hears from him when he needs something or when he is bored. Despite Lucifer being willing to use his influence for his daughter's needs, she is hesitant to overuse that privilege. She only used it when she needed to visit Heaven's higher-ups, which tested the limits of her father's power. When, for the first time in years, Charlie initiated a phone call between them, Lucifer was shocked and excited when he saw his daughter calling, wanting it to be perfect. It is evident he still deeply loved her due to all his family photos, and the two share many mannerisms. He tries to come off as cool, but he awkwardly plays down how distant they've become in the present day, not remembering about Charlie's Hazbin Hotel, despite the fact she had told him about it previously. It's suggested he focuses more on his own problems instead of maintaining a relationship, unintentionally neglecting her. Despite having trouble expressing his affection for her, Lucifer wishes to spend more time with Charlie and desires to feel close to her as evident when he sings with joy after Charlie invites him to the Hotel.

Upon seeing her, he hugs her tightly and even threatens Razzle and Dazzle by reminding them of their job of protecting Charlie. He first meets Alastor and the two get off on the wrong foot as Lucifer feels threatened by Charlie relying on him. He then meets Vaggie, Charlie's girlfriend, for the first time and hugs her with excitement before meeting the rest of the members. He and Alastor soon get into a singing match over who Charlie can receive more help from and Alastor infuriates him by insinuating he views Charlie as his own child. After Mimzy's introduction, Charlie takes her father on a tour, but Lucifer confesses he doesn't think sinners are trustworthy and Charlie is putting too much faith in them. When they are attacked, and Alastor defends the Hotel, Charlie is upset that Lucifer doesn't believe in her or her dreams. Lucifer soon breaks down as he explains how Heaven let him down, and he doesn't want Charlie to go through the same thing. Despite their strained relationship, he ensures her he will do anything to protect her from getting hurt. In turn, Charlie tells him about her memories of the stories he told her that inspired her and her determination to save their people. The two reconcile as they come to learn more about each other.

For all his failings, he is deeply caring and protective of Charlie. He will unleash his fury on anyone who dares to seriously harm her. In "The Show Must Go On", he shows up to fight Adam himself after he tries to kill Charlie. In the past, Lucifer feared provoking Heaven, knowing it could be worse than the annual exterminations. However, he put that fear aside to save his daughter. Despite Adam trying to kill Charlie, Lucifer still respected her wishes to stop hurting him. It appears that after this, his and Charlie's relationship has improved immensely, with Lucifer not only helping Charlie rebuild the Hotel but admitting that Charlie has changed his mind and he sincerely believes in her vision now.

Lilith

In "Overture", Charlie tells the story of how Lilith and Lucifer would meet and fall in love. Together, the two gave Adam's second wife, Eve, an apple that was said to grant knowledge and free will. For this act, Charlie explains evil was born and as punishment Lucifer and Lilith were sent to Hell. Lucifer could no longer see the good in humans while Lilith thrived as the Queen. The royal couple would later have a child, their daughter Charlie and for a time, the three seemingly had a happy life together despite the constant dangers that came with running Hell.

Though little is known about their actual relationship outside of being married, they are revealed in "Dad Beat Dad" to have separated and according to Charlie, Lucifer and her drifted apart as it is unknown what caused the separation, but it is evident Lucifer continues to love Lilith greatly as he continues to wear his wedding ring and has become depressed as he works on his rubber ducks to distract him. It is unknown if Lucifer is aware of her disappearance or knows of her location.

Razzle and Dazzle

Lucifer Morningstar/Relationships (2)

Razzle and Dazzle were gifted to Charlie by Lucifer during her childhood to act as her personal bodyguards. Razzle and Dazzle are protective of Charlie and the rest of her family. While he cares for them, he threateningly tells them that they better be protecting Charlie.

KeeKee

Lucifer Morningstar/Relationships (3)

Indicated as a family pet of the Morningstars, KeeKee is adored by Lucifer as he affectionately greets her while visiting Charlie. He can also wield her in the form of large key that he uses to create objects such as the building materials for the new Hazbin Hotel in "The Show Must Go On".

Vaggie

Lucifer Morningstar/Relationships (4)

Lucifer first meets Vaggie when Charlie introduced her as her girlfriend. While surprised that Charlie likes girls, he was nonetheless happy to meet her, even giving her a tight bear hug.

Overlords

Alastor

Lucifer Morningstar/Relationships (5)

Lucifer does not seem to know Alastor before meeting him in "Dad Beat Dad", as he asks who he is and states that he does not know him from his radio broadcast. However, the two immediately do not get along, with Lucifer getting especifically offended when Alastor teased him regarding his height. Shortly after Charlie introduces them, Lucifer suggests that Alastor is a has-been and insults the hotel's name after the latter tells the name was his idea. In response, Alastor cusses him out.

Additionally, Lucifer shows jealousy towards Alastor when the latter began showing off his "deep" bond with Charlie. This caused Lucifer to become increasingly insecure about his relationship with his daughter, and he began to compete with Alastor for her attention and try to keep him away from him and Charlie during the rest of the tour. This insecurity becomes even more evident when Charlie defended Alastor's "more sad*stic" way to defend the hotel, especially when she commented that Alastor has showed more belief in her than Lucifer.

As Alastor returns after recovering from his battle against Adam, Lucifer is showed clearly uncomfortable and annoyed by him.

Seven Deadly Sins

Mammon

Mammon considers Lucifer his "friend".[1] Whether Lucifer affirms this friendship with Mammon is unknown.

Heaven

Lucifer doesn't seem to have a very good outlook on Heaven, viewing it as having lots of rules and not being very open minded. Despite Lucifer had great ideas for Creation, he was seen as a troublemaker by the elders of Heaven, and after accidentally bringing evil into the Earth he was banished to the newly created Hell that came with the evil. Despite this, he is still able to contact Heaven and was able to get Charlie a meeting with it's higher ups. He seems to still hold some influence due to being able to get a pardon for all hellborn during extermination. The fact Heaven was able to crush his hopes and dreams by forcing him to only witness the evil his gift to humanity brought caused a great deal of trauma to Lucifer to the point of him refusing to help Charlie with her own dream, fearing Heaven would do to her what they did to him.

Adam

Lucifer Morningstar/Relationships (6)

Lucifer is shown to have a a strong hatred toward Adam, something that may come from the beginning of mankind after the former fell in love with the latter's first wife. One initial dislike of him was showed when Adam arranged a meeting soon after the extermination, with Lucifer asking Charlie to go on his place, so he didn't had to meet him. Lucifer had no problem punching Adam in the face for trying to kill his daughter Charlie. During the battle in the sky, Lucifer spent his time teasing Adam about how two of Adam's wives liked his offers, with Lilith (the wife who abandoned him) accepting his love, while Eve accepted his gift of Free Will. When Adam tried to hurt Lucifer and Charlie again, Lucifer was furious and threw Adam to the ground and mercilessly beat him until Charlie stopped him and to give Adam mercy. When Adam going on a rant on how people should worship him for being the first man, Lucifer was annoyed and uninterested but was surprised when he was killed by Niffty.
